Terms of Service
Written to be read. Where a term protects us at your expense, it says so plainly rather than hiding in a subclause.
Last updated: 28 August 2026 · Graffitecs, Lahore, Pakistan. Governing law and the limit of our liability are set out in sections 12 and 10. These terms have not yet been reviewed by a qualified lawyer; if that review changes them, the date above changes and pilot participants are told directly rather than by a silent edit (section 13).
1. Who this is between
These terms are between Graffitecs ("we", "us") and the organisation using Aegis ("you"). If you are accepting them on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
2. What Aegis is
Aegis is software you deploy and operate inside your own infrastructure. We license it to you; we do not host it, and we do not operate it for you unless we have separately agreed to.
3. Pilot status — please read this one
Aegis is currently offered as a pre-release pilot. That means:
- Behaviour, APIs and policy formats may change between versions, sometimes without a long deprecation window.
- There is no service level agreement unless one is separately signed.
- We may contact you about your experience, and we would like you to tell us when something breaks.
We would rather you deploy it deliberately, in a path where you understand the blast radius, than treat a pilot as though it carried production guarantees it does not yet have.
4. What a guardrail can and cannot promise
This section matters more than the disclaimers below, so it is not buried among them.
Aegis reduces risk. It does not eliminate it. Its rails are deterministic, which makes them fast, reproducible and auditable — and also means they enforce the rules they have been given, not an understanding of every attack that will ever be invented. A novel technique may pass. A legitimate request may be blocked. Any vendor telling you otherwise about any security control is selling you something.
Aegis is one layer. It is not a substitute for least-privilege design, code review, secrets hygiene, human approval on consequential actions, or your own judgement about what an autonomous agent should be permitted to do at all. You remain responsible for the security of your systems.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Aegis to:
- Break the law, or help someone else break it.
- Attack, probe or disrupt infrastructure you do not own or have written permission to test.
- Build or operate systems whose purpose is to harm people.
- Circumvent the licence — reverse engineer it to produce a competing product, remove notices, or redistribute it as your own.
Security research on your own deployment is welcome. If you find a vulnerability, tell us before you tell anyone else and we will work with you on it.
6. Your data stays yours
Everything flowing through your deployment — prompts, responses, tool calls, decision history, audit records — is yours. It is written to your datastore. We claim no ownership of it, no licence to it, and we do not receive it. See the Privacy Policy.
If you voluntarily send us data while getting support — a log excerpt, a reproduction case — we use it only to help you with that issue.
7. Our intellectual property
The software, its rulesets, documentation and brand remain ours. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them for the duration of the pilot or your agreement, and nothing more.
8. Fees
Pilot access is provided at no charge unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Paid terms, if any, will be set out in that agreement and take precedence over this section.
9. Warranty disclaimer
The software is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect every threat — see section 4, which we would rather you read than this paragraph.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of Aegis.
Our total liability is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 1,000. Pilot access is free (section 8), so for most participants that figure is the cap rather than the floor — we would rather state a real number than leave a limit that resolves to nothing.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Term and termination
Either of us may end the pilot at any time, for any reason, with notice. On termination you stop using the software and remove it from your systems. Sections 4, 6, 7, 9, 10 and 12 survive.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Lahore, Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. That is where Graffitecs is established; we have not chosen a foreign forum that would be expensive for you to reach.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to pilot participants directly rather than by silently editing this page, and the date at the top will change.
